Program Outcomes
Medical Laboratory Technology education provides graduates with the knowledge and skills utilized in quality laboratory analysis. The accuracy of patient laboratory results requires a collaborative decision- making process across the healthcare team. Graduates of the associate of applied science degree in Medical Laboratory Technology obtain an educational foundation for further study at the baccalaureate level.
At the completion of the MLT program students will be able to:
1. Accurately perform manual and automated procedures in Hematology, Clinical Biochemistry, Immunology, Serology, Clinical Microbiology, Urinalysis, Body Fluids, and Blood Banking.
2. Demonstrate competency in safely collecting, processing, and analyzing specimens and results.

6. Correctly perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance on equipment and instruments.
7. Effectively plan for continuing education and lifelong learning as a requirement for maintaining professional certification.
